Arthur Kinbar – 1927-2014

Arthur Kinbar was born on July 30, 1927, the son of Mollie and
Samuel Kinbar. He was adored by his older sister Ruth Jeanette. He
spent his formative years living in the Bronx and working for the
family business – a hand laundry on Central Park West in NYC.
Arthur fought for his country as an Army Corporal in WWII. When he
returned, he married Serena Isaacs. Together they were the parents
of Frances (Edward) Olmsted and Marcia (Alan) Goldstein. Family
was the most important thing in his life, and he was thrilled to be the
grandfather of Mark Olmsted, Sarah (Amanda) Kinbar, Brian (Lena)
Goldstein and Rachel (Evan) Schwartz. Later he transitioned to
owning his own dry-cleaning business on Long Island and then
finished his career as an offset printer working on the Lower East
Side of Manhattan. His favorite pass times were word scramble
games and spending time at the casino playing quarter slot machines.
