Serena Kinbar – 1930-2007

Serena Kinbar nee Isaacs was born on February 14, 1930, the
daughter of Bertha and Miklos (Nicholas) Isaacs. Serena graduated
from George Washington High School and worked in the jewelry
industry in NYC as a buyer. She married Arthur Kinbar on March 5,
1950. Serena and Arthur were the parents of Frances (Edward)
Omsted and Marcia (Alan) Goldstein. Serena remained at home to
care for her children before returning to the work force as a Personnel
Administrator at Kings Park Psychiatric Center until her retirement.
She was the loving grandmother of Mark Olmsted, Sarah (Amanda)
Kinbar, Brian (Lena) Goldstein and Rachel (Evan) Schwartz. She was
an avid knitter and crocheter and the family has many treasures that
she created.
