Rabbi Klein served Temple Emanuel and Temple Shaarey Zedek, predecessor congregations of Temple Beth Zedek. A renowned scholar and teacher, he was an influential member of the Committee on Jewish Law and Standards, and taught at the Jewish Theological Seminary and the University of Judaism. His book, A Guide to Jewish Religious Practice, remains a standard reference decades after its publication.
